Toyota Sienna
Toyota is a Japanese multinational corporation and the world's second largest automaker that manufactures automobiles, trucks, buses and robots and it is the world's eighth largest company and its second largest automaker. The Toyota Sienna is a minivan built in the United States for the North American market, and shares its platform and engine with the Toyota Camry. It replaced the Previa in 1998 as a more conventional front wheel drive van, and was updated for 2004 with a larger model. Long the choice as the family hauler, Minivans are easily the smartest use of space for passengers and cargo offering a fantastic blend of comfort, convenience, and safety features for the modern family. The 2006 Toyota Sienna with tons of innovative features and even more available options is one of the top in its segment. The front fascia, side molding, and rear taillights were redesigned. The measurements for horsepower and torque were changed to the SAE's, Society for Automotive Engineers, new specifications of 215 hp, horse power and 222 ft-lbf, foot pound force per minute. Optitron gauges were added to LE, XLE, and Limited trims. Power driver's seat memory option was also added to XLE and Limited trims, although they are extremely complicated to program. Bluetooth capability and power-folding third row seats were also added as options. The optional rear seat audio system has been discontinued due to fire hazards. The formerly optional front side-impact airbags and three-row head-protecting side curtain airbags are standard on all Siennas. Other changes include new seat fabric for the CE and LE trims. The XLE also has dual power front seats this year, and the XLE Limited gains driver-seat memory. There's also a new power-folding rear seat option on XLE Limited 2WD, Wheel Drive, models. In addition, all Siennas receive a new grille, headlamps, foglamps and taillamp clusters. According to J D Power and Associates ratings the Toyota Sienna scores among the best in overall, mechanical, body, interior, feature, accessory and creature comforts. While performance is better than most its style was about average. It has an above-average fuel economy ratio. It's the first minivan to receive a Double Best Pick designation from the IIHS, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Toyota’s striving to create an automobile-based society in which people can live with ease, and in safety and comfort.
