Ford Freestar

The Freestar, along with its twin the Mercury Monterey are both made in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The perfect combination of electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission and the new generation Sequential electronic fuel injection increases power output and torque across the driving range, making the Freestar a spirited performer on expressways, crowded city streets and off-road conditions, with instantaneous acceleration even when carrying heavy payloads. Freestar is available in five trim levels that include the Freestar base, SE, Sport, SEL and limited mock-ups. In the United States, the Freestar offers two available gasoline powered V6 engines. The smaller 3.9 liter engine develops a maximum power of 193 horsepower at 4500 rpm, rotations per minute and 240 pound-feet of torque at 3750 rotations per minute, while the larger 4.2 liter engine offers a power of 201 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 263 pound-feet of torque at 3650 rpm. Freestar features include multiple port, engine controls, 26-gallon fuel tank, front wheel drive, independent Macpherson struts with nitrogen gas-pressurized hydraulic shocks and stabilizer bar, torsion beam with coil springs and nitrogen gas-pressurized hydraulic shocks. The exterior features include clearcoat paint, bumpers, painted body color, solar tinted flush-mounted glass all around and privacy glass in second and third rows and liftgate.
