Chrysler Town & Country
Chrysler Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer that existed separately from 1925 to 1998. Chrysler and its subsidiaries became part of the German-American based DaimlerChrysler AG after merging with Daimler-Benz in 1998. The United States operations are usually referred to as the Chrysler Group. The company was formed by Walter Percy Chrysler on June 7, 1925.
Chrysler Town & Country offers two powerful engines, the 170 horsepower 3.3-liter V6 engine on Town & Country and LX provides consistent performance under a variety of driving conditions. The 200 horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine on Touring and Limited provides impressive power to maneuver confidently.
The various features of the vehicle are as follows, Chrysler Town & Country has plenty of space for seven passengers to travel in comfort and style. Rear temperature controls and an overhead rail system with two movable and removable storage bins are standard on limited and available on Touring.
The overhead console of the van comes with trip computer, lamps, storage bin, switches for power sliding doors, power lift gate included with power sliding door and home link, which can be programmed to operate your garage door and perform other household functions. A Rear Seat Video System includes a 7 inch video screen, 2 wireless headphones, wireless remote control and Sirius Satellite Radio-requires multi-format in-dash 6-disc CD, DVD, MP3 changer.
Chrysler Town & Country's three-zone manual temperature control features separate temperature controls for driver, front and rear seat passengers that permits them to set the temperature to their comfort. The automatic temperature control has an automatic climate control system to set three special temperatures for individual passenger and driver comfort levels.
Chrysler Town & Country's rigid body structure not only contributes to solid ride and handling, but minimizes the transmission of road noise, vibration, and harshness as well. Its long wheelbase model is the only minivan with transitional and third row seats that fold down into the floor.
With the presentation of the 2006 J.D. Power and Associates, James and David Initial Quality study, the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country was the recipient in the minivan segment. The study looked at factors based on quality design and production quality. Chrysler Town & Country named a Consumer Guide Automotive Recommended vehicle for 2007. The award was assigned in appreciation of Chrysler's continued commitment to minivan inspiration and innovation, along with performance, safety ratings and unique features.
