Chrysler Pacifica
Chrysler Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer that existed separately from 1925 to 1998. Chrysler and its subsidiaries became part of the German-American based DaimlerChrysler AG after merging with Daimler-Benz in 1998. The United States operations are usually referred to as the Chrysler Group. The company was formed by Walter Percy Chrysler on June 7, 1925. Chrysler Pacifica is a mid-size crossover sport utility vehicle from DaimlerChrysler. It shares its platform with the Chrysler minivans but offers all wheel drive and an upscale interior. The Pacifica was introduced for 2004 and was initially inspired by the Chrysler Citadel concept car. The Pacifica, according to Chrysler, is a sports tourer. Chrysler Pacifica models come with an available 253 horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine. Couple this with the six-speed Auto Stick and available full-time all wheel drive, and you get unique performance that matches the stylish design. The various features are as follows. The second and third row seats on Touring and Limited fold flat to give you 79.5 cubic feet of cargo area. The 65 by 35 split folding second-row on the base model can seat five passengers or a combination of cargo and passengers for the flexibility you need. Front-row seats feature a standard ten-way power driver's seat and a four way power passenger's seat. With Chrysler Pacifica, each passenger has additional protection in the event of an accident with passive safety features that include advanced multistage driver and front passenger air bags, Inflatable knee blocker for the driver and supplemental side curtain air bags. Pacifica comes with a standard radio with CD player, seven Infinity speakers, 200 watt amplifier and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. A Rear Seat Video system, available on Touring and Limited, enables rear-seat passengers to enjoy CDs or DVDs through wireless headphones and front seat occupants can listen to the radio or in-dash CD player.
The 2007 Chrysler Pacifica has received a five-star rating the government’s highest for front and side impact crash tests. Chrysler inspiration has given sport utility vehicle a whole new meaning safety utility vehicle. The 2006 Chrysler Pacifica has been chosen as best pick frontal by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Like the pioneering minivan, Chrysler sets a new standard with Pacifica. The beauty of being the first into a segment is the ability to define it. The stylish execution of this clever vehicle is sure to turn heads.
