Chevrolet Colorado
Chevrolet is a brand of automobile, produced by General Motors. It is the top selling GM, General Motors marque and the best-known brand of General Motors worldwide, with Chevrolet or Chevy being at times synonymous for GM. Chevrolet launched the compact Colorado pickup truck in 2004. Offered with a four- or five-cylinder engine, the Colorado is closely related to the GMC, General Motors Corporation Canyon. Colorados comes with two or four wheel drive and in regular-cab, extended-cab and crew-cab configurations. Both a Z71 offroad performance suspension and a ZQ8 low-riding sport suspension are available in it. In the year 2005 it was awarded model of the year. A power convenience package is available for crew-cab pickups with specific equipment groups. Regular-cab trucks are 192.8 inches long overall on a 111.3-inch wheelbase while extended and crew-cab models measure about 207 inches long on a 125.9-inch span. Standard tyres measure 15 inches in diameter, but aluminum wheels are available. Currently, Chevrolet Colorado has three models, Regular cab, Extended cab, and Crew cab. Its overall design is simple, with rotary dials for the climate control system and a large radio faceplate for easy control of the satellite radio-compatible audio system. Extended cab Colorado models feature reverse-opening rear doors on both sides for easier access to the backseats, while the larger crew cab models offer a 60 to 40-split-folding rear seat that can accommodate three adults. Side curtain airbags are available that provide head protection in the event of a side impact or rollover accident. The Colorado feels cheap, even in a class of vehicles where functionality and value come before upscale accommodations. The doors are lightweight and tinny, and the first thing one will notice when one slide behind the wheel is, how low-grade the dash looks and rough the upholstery feels. The Chevrolet Colorado was the first compact pickup to offer roof-mounted side curtain airbags and they were optional on all body styles. In government crash tests, the Colorado earned four stars out of five for both the driver and front passenger in frontal-impact testing, and four out of five stars in side-impact testing for front passengers, and five stars for rear passengers. Chevrolet Colorado, due to its various attractive features and luxurious comforts is one of the favorite choices of the four-wheeler buyers. Its dashing and athletic look attracts many of the car lovers. All these and many more features of it, distinguishes Colorado from the other cars.
