Volkswagen Rabbit
Volkswagen AG, or VW, is an automobile manufacturer situated in Wolfsburg, Germany. It forms the heart of Volkswagen Group, one of the world's four largest car producers. The origin of the company dates back to the 1930s and was founded in 1937 by German Auto Association headquartered at Wolfsburg, Germany. Some of the key people involve Bernd Pischetsrieder who is the Chairman of the Board of Management. Volkswagen is part of the Volkswagen group, along with Audi, NSU, SEAT, Skoda, Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini.
A return-to-its-roots approach meant to draw the young and hip is now in effect, and leading the charge is the 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit. The 2007 VW Rabbit is the brand's most reasonably priced car and is based on the same platform as the Jetta. Compared to the old Golf, the Rabbit is a bit better and heavier. It offers decent performance, plenty of standard features, a roomy interior and a slightly upscale feel.
Some of its advantages include comfortable ride, rich interior materials, many safety features, roomy interior and a solid build quality. However its setbacks are that it can get costly with options, handling and styling might not be sporty enough for younger buyers. For the 2007 Rabbit, VW adds an auxiliary audio input jack for MP3 players, an optional Apple iPod-specific adapter and an optional tire-pressure monitor. Cruise control actuation has also been simplified. It is a 4door hatchback with a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder capacity engine that produces 150 hp, horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque.
Its safety features include four-wheel antilock disc brakes, seat-mounted side airbags for front occupants and full-length head curtain airbags are standard on all Rabbits. A tire-pressure monitor, stability control and, for four-door models, rear seat-mounted side airbags, are optional.
