Pontiac Solstice
Pontiac is a brand of automobile produced by General Motors. Pontiac Motor Corporation manufactures nine different models namely G6 Sedan, G6 Coupe, G6 Convertible, Solstice, Grand Prix, Torrent, Vibe, G5 and GTO. Among these models, the Pontiac Solstice offers strong performance, a value-oriented price and very attractive package. Solstice has all the exuberance as well as the comfort which makes it a handy option for the car lovers. Only one flavor of the Pontiac Solstice is available that includes standard equipments. The mock-up is loaded with 18-inch wheels, a manually operated top with a glass rear window and defogger, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system with an in-dash compact disc player. Available options also include air conditioning, power windows and doors, remote keyless entry, leather seats, a couple of upgraded sound systems with MP3 playback, cruise control, OnStar telematics and satellite radio. Pontiac Solstice is good on its performance as it is power driven by the normally aspirated 2.4 liter inline four cylinders that generate 177 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. The engine is coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. However, for those who do not like to shift gears, an automatic trim is available as of April 2006. Standard on the Pontiac Solstice is also four-wheel disc brakes to stop this monster at its top speed. The Solstice features more comfort and safety than any other car brands in the market. Its interior design and special features with 42.7 inch of legroom and 38.5 inch of headroom feels roomy with the top up or down. Wraparound dash and high door sills surround the driver like the cockpit of a fighter jet, and bolstered seats are comfortable and supportive. On the other hand, the exterior of the Solstice speaks tough design with selectable colors. It comes with aggressive, cool, deep, envious, mysterious, pure and sly colors that complete its passionate design. The Pontiac Corporation has designed the all new Solstice trims that would probably be launched in the year of 2007. These include the standard trim and the GXP trim which comes in 2-door convertible form. Both the trims have same transmission and having 20 miles per gallon gas mileage in the city.
Pontiac is confident to continue its success in the one-tonne pickup segment with the new Solstice that aims to set a new standard in the industry in terms of engine performance, fuel economy, passenger comfort, safety features, excellent drivability, towing capacity and affordability.
