Hyundai Tiburon
Hyundai is a South Korean group of companies founded by Chung Ju-yung in 1947 as a construction company and was once South Korea's largest corporation company. The company split into five business entities on April 1, 2003 including Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, Hyundai Group, Hyundai Department Store Group and Hyundai Development Group.
Hyundai Tiburon is a sport compact car produced by Hyundai since 1996. With clean styling, optional V6 power and a kind warranty, the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon would seem a top sport coupe choice. Hyundai Tiburon car is available in GS, GT, GT Limited and SE trims. Hyundai Tiburon GS comes with a 138 horse power, 2.0-liter inline four. Step up to the GT or SE and you are rewarded with a 2.7-liter V6 rated at 172 horse power and 181 pounds-feet of torque. The GS and GT models are available with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
The standard equipment for the GS includes air conditioning, six-speaker stereo with CD player, side airbags, sport seats, power windows and locks, keyless entry, fog lamps, four-wheel disc brakes, 16-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. The GT adds automatic climate control, cruise control, a trip computer, 17-inch wheels and a more spectacular rear spoiler. The GT Limited includes leather seats, a sunroof and 440-watt Infinity audio system. The sporty SE includes red front brake calipers, a high-mounted rear spoiler, aluminum pedals, manual-control air conditioning, metal grain interior trim, a Kenwood CD Mp3 audio system and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
Hyundai Tiburon has a simple but attractive cockpit. At first glance, it's evident that the interior designers wanted to impart a high-quality look and feel to the cabin. Bolstered sport-seats help keep occupants in place during excited cornering and the big speedometer and tachometer are easy to read at a glance. Hyundai Tiburon comes with seat-mounted side airbags for front occupants. Four-wheel disc brakes are also included, antilock brakes are standard on the SE and optional on all other models.
In NHTSA, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration crash tests, Hyundai Tiburon earned a full five stars for driver protection in frontal impacts and four stars for the front passenger. In 2006, in J.D. Power, James David ratings, in the compact sporty car segment, Hyundai Tiburon achieved 2nd ranking in initial quality. Hyundai Tiburon is a car where you will find comfort, space and an incomparable style at the same time providing high efficiency and durable performance.
