Ford Taurus

Its automotive-related services include Ford Motor Credit Company. The Ford Taurus was a mid-size front wheel drive car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company in North America. It was introduced in December 1985 as a 1986 model, replacing the Fairmont-based rear wheel drive LTD model. The Taurus is Ford’s midsize sedan, also offered as a wagon. When it was introduced in 1985 the styling was unique, but by 1987 it was Ford’s best-selling car and from 1992 to 1996 it was the best-selling car in America. The 2000 Taurus was the first production car to offer power-adjustable brake and accelerator pedals. The 2006 Ford Taurus is a 4-door, up to 6-passenger family sedan, available in two trims, the SE Sedan and the SEL Sedan. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, V6, 153-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 27-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2006 Ford Taurus is a carryover from 2005.
