The model Ford Five Hundred was launched by Ford Company with a 3 liter V6 engine with 203 horsepower and 207 pound per feet of torque. It comes with two transmission choices. The first transmission is a continuously variable transmission, CVT. The other option is a six speed automatic transmission. All the models of Ford Five Hundred come with a full set of disc brakes and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.
The Ford Five Hundred has crisp and clean lines popularized by the Passat. Its rear passengers are treated to equally spacious quarters, making this vehicle a good choice for families with teenagers. The interior colors of the car comes with choices of Black, Red Fire, TitaniumGreen, Dark Blue Pearl, Sliver Birch, Dune Pearl, Alloy and Oxford White. The Five Hundred versions are reduced to two trim levels, with side impact airbags and head curtain airbags. The front wheel drive models come with six speed automatic transmissions. The new option for the car includes navigation, heated seats and SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
The Ford Five Hundred sedan is available in one of three trims, SE, SEL and Limited versions. The SE model has 17 inch wheels, a six way power driver seat, full power accessories, air conditioning, a Compact Disc player and cruise control. The SEL model adds an eight way power driver seat, dual zone automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel, wood interior trim, an MP3 and CD changer, a fold flat front passenger seat and an auto dimming rearview mirror. The Limited model includes 18 inch wheels, leather upholstery, four way power passenger seat, seat memory, an upgraded audio system, heated seats and an analog clock. The Consumer Rating of Ford Five Hundred is 9.3 and the editor’s rating is 8.0.
