Dodge Stratus
Dodge is a brand name of automobiles and light to heavy-duty trucks. From 1914 to 1927, the company was named the Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicle Company. The Chrysler Corporation acquired the Dodge Company in 1928. In 1998, Dodge, along with all other Chrysler subsidiaries merged with Daimler-Benz. Dodge Company manufactures 14 different models with different specifications. They are Caliber, Stratus Sedan, Viper, Charger, Magnum, Caravan, Nitro, Durango, Dakota, Ram SRT, Ram 1500, Ram 2500 and 3500 and Sprinter. The 2006 Dodge Stratus is an underperforming midsize sedan introduced in 1995. The Stratus sedan was revamped in 2001, picking up more powerful engines than its predecessor as well as crisp new styling. For 2006, Dodge's midsize Stratus is available as a sedan only as the Eclipse-based coupe model has been discontinued. The models are available in exterior colors namely bright silver metallic clearcoat, brilliant black crystal pearlcoat and inferno red crystal pearlcoat and interior colors namely dark slate gray leather, cloth.
The Stratus sedan is available as a base SXT style or a sporty R/T. Typically associated with high-performance Dodge cars, the R/T moniker is mainly an appearance upgrade with ground effects and an ungainly rear spoiler. Sharper suspension tuning and a 2.7-liter V6 with 200 horsepower do back up the performance image to a degree, but the car is outclassed by better-performing sedan competitors. The leaders of the midsize sedan segment are now bigger, faster and more luxurious than ever before.
The midsize Dodge Stratus sedan is available in SXT and R/T trim levels. The SXT comes with air conditioning, power windows, mirrors and locks, cruise control, a Compact disc player, keyless entry and 16-inch alloy wheels. Out of the 6 reviews taken, the 2006 models surpassed with an average rating of 9.6 out of 10. Dodge has been setting new standards in automotive design and engineering for two decades with a steadfast commitment to bold innovation, precision manufacturing, and exhilarating performance.
