The Chrysler Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer that existed from 1925 to 1998. It was formed by Daimler Chrysler on June 7, 1925, with the remaining assets of Maxwell Motor Company. The 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible is a 2 door, 4 passenger convertible car. It is available in 3 trims, ranging from the Base to the GT models. The Base model is equipped with a standard 2.4 liter and 150 horsepower engine, which achieves a mileage of 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on highway. The GT model is equipped with a standard 2.4 liter, 230 horsepower turbo engine that achieves a mileage of 21 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. It got 5 speed manual transmissions with overdrive on both trims and a 4 speed automatic transmission with optional overdrive. The 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible is freshened for 2006. The 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible has new interiors with fresh instruments and larger gauges. Its flush shutoff and rotates air vents and a Chrysler signature analog clock. A radio is mounted higher in the center stack for easier access along with a passenger grab handle that is added to the right side of the instrument panel. Its glove box capacity is increased, and a new center console with a sliding armrest and covered storage space replaces the previous seat mounted armrests. Its features include power locks, courtesy map lamps and rear window switches mounted higher on the back of the center console for easier access. The 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible has few very advantageous features like Retro rod design, comfortable seating, flip fold rear seats, turbocharged engine and good reliability. Some of its disadvantages include the standard engine power deficit and few cheap interior bits. According to J.D. power quality ratings, in regard to mechanical, body and interiors the manufacturing and design quality are among the best. With regard to features and accessories the ratings range from better than most and about average. Its overall appeal is among the best.
