Chrysler Pacifica
The Chrysler Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer that existed independently from 1925 to 1998. Chrysler and its subsidiaries became part of the German based DaimlerChrysler AG after merging with Daimler-Benz in 1998. Pacifica is the first Chrysler vehicle to pass through the Chrysler Development System's Quality Gates, a series of high-standard checkpoints required for a vehicle to make it to the road.
The Chrysler Pacifica is available in three models, Base, Touring and Limited. The Base and Touring models are offered with front-wheel drive. The model comes with two row, five passenger seating, cloth upholstery, Compact Disc player, full power accessories, and keyless entry. The Touring model had 17 inch alloy wheels, three-row six-passenger seating, automatic climate control and a 10 way power driver seat. The Limited models that are build upon the Touring have monochromatic exterior, 19 inch wheels, heated leather seats, a power moonroof and a power liftgate. Its entertainment options consist of an upgraded 385 watt Infinity audio system, Sirius Satellite Radio and a rear seat Digital Video entertainment system.
Chrysler Pacifica’s mileage is 18 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on highway. It has a V6 3.8 liter and automatic transmission. The car has combined traits of cars, sports utility and minivans and comes in front or all wheel drive. It offers a base model that seats five and Touring and Limited models that seat seven. It has 4 speed automatic transmissions with manual shift. It also includes an antilock 4 wheel disc brakes and a driver knee airbag. Its curtain side airbags cover all seating rows on Limited models and are optional on Base and Touring models. Pacifica's second and third row seats fold down.
The Chrysler Pacifica comes standard with front wheel drive but a sophisticated all-wheel drive system is also available as a safety feature. The only engine offered is Chrysler's models are a 3.5 Liter, 250 horse power engine with 250 feet per pound torque. One can pair it with the excellent 4 speed automatic transmission. Pacifica was awarded 5 stars for its crash tests.
According to J.D. power quality ratings, in regard to mechanical, body and interiors the manufacturing and design quality are among the best. With regard to features and accessories the ratings range from better than most and about average. Its overall appeal is among the best.
