Chevrolet Corvette
Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car first manufactured by Chevrolet in 1953. It is built today exclusively at a General Motors assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States. It was the first all-American sports car built by an American car manufacturer. It was developed by Chevrolets chief engineer, Ed Cole and Zora Arkus-Duntov, into an outstanding muscle car. It is America's only true sports car. Chevrolet Corvette has three models, the 2007 Corvette coupe, the Chevrolet convertible and the Chevrolet Z06. The Chevrolet coupe has LS2 V8 Engine that has an aluminum body. It is powered by a 400 horsepower, 6000 rotation per minute engine. The vehicle gives a mileage of 18 miles per gallon in city and 28 miles per gallon on highway. The car has a removable Roof Panel and transparent roofs are also available with a roof package. It has an electronic symphony of Traction Control and antilock brakes working through microcomputers, accelerometers and stability sensors. The short-throw six gear manual transmission, which comes in the Corvette, includes a six-speed Paddle Shift with automatic modes. The Chevrolet convertible is another model offered by Chevrolet. Its top and tonneau cover cycle up or down in 18 seconds with no driver ever having to leave their seat. Its bulkhead helps block road noise as well. The cars active handling is an electronic symphony of Traction Control and antilock brakes working through microcomputers, accelerometers and stability sensors. It includes a short throw six speed manual transmission as its transmission is located in the rear of the car and is connected to the engine with a transaxle and torque tube. As its transmission is located in the rear and is connected to the engine by means of a transaxle and torque tube, Corvette achieves a near 50 by 50 weight distribution for better performance. The Chevrolet Z06 has features including an LS7 aluminum-block V8. It is powered by a 505 horse power engine and 470 pound per feet of torque. Its LS7 engine contains eight-quart dry-sump lubrication system, titanium valves and connecting rods, forged-steel crankshaft, high-profile camera and CNC, Computer Numerical Controlled machined heads for better air and fuel flow. The dry-sump oil system on the Corvette Z06 LS7 engine prevents oil starvation on high corners or under heavy braking.
Chevrolet is setting new standards in automotive design and engineering for two decades with a steadfast commitment to bold innovation, precision manufacturing and exhilarating performance.
