Buick Lucerne
Buick is a brand of automobile built in the United States, Canada, and China by General Motors Corporation. Buicks are sold in North America, China, Taiwan, and Israel. It is now GM's only US-based entry-level luxury brand since the demise of Oldsmobile in 2004, although GM's Swedish subsidiary, Saab, fills a similar segment in price and prestige level. New for 2006, the full-size Lucerne has the soft ride that’s the mark of a Buick along with the rather powerful Northstar V8, formerly the exclusive domain of Cadillac. Seating for six is available. Magnetic Ride Control which allows quick handling responses without sacrificing the pillowy ride is offered on the Lucerne, as is the StabiliTrak stability control system. There’s a total of six airbags onboard, including side and side-curtain air bags as well as a new dual-depth passenger airbag that can deploy to two different sizes, depending on the seat position and occupant size. A heated windshield-washer system and rain-sensing wipers are available, too. Of the three models of Buick, the CX Trims is a 4-door CX Sedan, with automatic tranmission, a V6, 3.8-liter, 197-horse power engine giving 19 miles to the Gallon within the city and 28 on the highway. The CXL Trims is a 4-door CXL Sedan, with automatic tranmission, a V6, 3.8-liter, 197-horse power engine giving 19 miles to the Gallon within the city and 28 on the highway. The CXS Trims is a 4-door CXS Sedan, with automatic tranmission, a V8, 4.6-liter, 275-horse power engine giving 17 miles to the gallon within the city and 25 on the highway. The 2007 Buick Lucerne is a 4 door, up to 6 passenger luxury sedan, available in 4 trims, ranging from the CX to the CXS. Upon introduction, the CX is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 197-horsepower engine that achieves 19 mpg, miles per gallon, in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The CXS is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 275-horsepower engine that achieves 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2007 Buick Lucerne is a carryover from 2006. General Motors enjoy an important legacy left by those who went before, a legacy of doing business the right way. Especially in times of increased attention on corporate responsibility, this tradition represents a great asset and but it also carries with it a tremendous responsibility.
