An auto or car dealership is a business that sells new cars or used cars at the retail level. It employs automobile sales staff, service workshops where services for cars are carried out. They employ automobile mechanics, stock and sell spare automobile parts, and process warranty claims also.
The Toyota Motor Corporation, or simply called Toyota is a Japanese multinational corporation and the world's second leading automaker that manufactures automobiles, buses, trucks and robots and the world's eighth largest company. The company's headquarters are in Toyota, Aichi, Japan with factories and offices across the world.
This company was founded in 1933 by Kiichiro Toyoda.
Vernon Schoemaker, President and owner of the dealership, served in the United States Navy for three years and then went to work selling cars for his uncle in Amarillo, Texas. There, the automobile business became his life, and in 1968, he came to Irving where he established a dealership named Toyota of Irving. In 1978, he acquired land on Hwy 183 and his dream of building a beautiful new facility came true.
This business has far exceeded his expectations and expansion is underway. In 1998, a new pre-owned vehicle sales and service facility was finished. In September of 1999 they opened their ultramodern collision repair center. Vernon and his oldest son, David recently celebrated the company's 37th year in business.
The core values that were instilled in the company then remain theirs today; honesty, integrity, and solid family values. The business has certainly changed but their commitment to providing value to their customers has not.
