Cadillac is a brand of luxury automobile, part of General Motors, produced and mostly sold in the United States and Canada. Outside of North America, they have been less successful. In the United States, the name became a synonym for high quality, used in such phrases as the Cadillac of clocks. Thomson MacConnell Cadillac located at 2820 Gilbert Ave Cincinnati, Ohio was founded in 1953 as Thomson Brothers Cadillac by Dabney and Lewis Thomson. In 1954, the facility that they currently occupy was completed and became the new home of Thomson Brothers Cadillac.
In 1966, Charles MacConnell, the dealership's General Manager, purchased Lewis Thomson's share of the company and the dealership was renamed Thomson MacConnell Cadillac, Incorporation. Upon Dabney Thomson's death in 1970, Mr. MacConnell acquired the balance of stock of the dealership. The people of Thomson-MacConnell Cadillac have built the company into one of the top 50 Cadillac dealerships in the country. They take great pride in selling and servicing our Cadillac customers.
