Southwest Ford
Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation and the world's third largest automaker based on vehicle sales in 2005. It has been the most celebrated automobile industry since 1903, when Henry Ford founded it. The industry has grown to its maximum potential since the last decade and now has its dealers and distributors throughout the six continents. The dealers too take pride in distributing the Ford brands, servicing them and adding its valuable parts to their part inventory. Southwest Ford located is located in Weatherford, Texas. Incorporated in 1985, SouthWest Ford began a steady course of growth and expansion that continues to the current day. Originally located in downtown Weatherford, the dealership quickly outgrew the facilities and moved to a new, modern facility in Hudson Oaks. In the Hudson Oaks location from August 1985 until May 2003, the dealership continued to grow and prosper, and just recently completed construction of its new state-of-the-art facility located on Interstate 20.
The dealership, solely owned by Mr. Charlie Gilchrist since 1995, is a well recognized fixture in the surrounding communities. Employing well over 150 people, SouthWest Ford is among the largest employers in the area. The dealership stresses active participation in community events and charitable activities and makes many contributions of both time and money to such endeavors. Included among the awards of merit are the Ford distinguished achievement award, the North American customer excellence award, blue oval certification, and 4 time winner of the prestigious president's award.
